The purpose of this research was to find out if the variables adaptability, intercultural communication, interés in learnning about other cultures, internacional contacts and respet for people from another origin positively influence the development of global competence. The survey was applied to 55 students from Colombia and México who participated in a COIL, the data was analyzed with the SmartPLS software, all variable except internacional contacts impact at a moderate level.
