Abstract

The relevance of the SMEs-Gender Equality binomial Given the globalizing processes and the structural changes that are being experienced in the country, an imprecise idea persists of what is proposed from the paradigm of the gender approach. It is observed that, far from exposing the chain of ills that has generated a vision of exclusion, it focuses on how the prospects for the treatment of this important sector can be improved.

The book contributes to the understanding of the subject and from a construct of knowledge in the voice of a series of men and women authorized by their experience and understanding of what happens to women in the business ecosystem, of those who have decided to cross imaginary borders from their homes and have opted to be economically productive.

The author outlines her chapter proposal in six major themes to separate and put the accents where they should be, in the task of understanding the scenarios that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives led by women promise, not only in our country, also in the Latin American region and in some points, with European countries.
