This research shows an analysis that is carried out considering the participation of researchers within the National System of Researchers who study the phenomenon of tourism and generate scientific knowledge about this phenomenon. It is also reviewed the location within the federative entities where the researchers are attached. From the work it can be identified that it is necessary to strengthen this participation in the S.N.I., the previous one because only the one percent of the researchers in the register are researchers that approach from their discipline of work the study of the tourist phenomenon.
