The attitude towards tourism can determine that the destination management actions are a priority for residents and may be affected by concern for the environment. In studies on the residents’ attitudes, the en-vironment is often raised as a set of benefits and costs that are valued in the formation of the general attitude towards tourism, but not as a factor capable of affecting the perception of other impacts. The objective of this research is to measure the effect of environmental concern on the ele-ments of a causal model containing impacts, overall assessment and possible strategic actions. The data correspond to a sample of 418 residents of Ibiza. The analysis of the proposed model was performed through Partial Least Squares. Among the results of the analysis is found that concern for the environment cause that residents so valued significantly higher costs of tourism and so significantly less non- economic benefits. Also exists a negative effect on the eco-nomic impacts but is not significant. There is no significant direct effect on the overall assessment but if an indirect negative effect. Concern for the environment has no significant effect on the degree of acceptance of the various types of tourism, but if it has a significant negative effect on support for possible increases in tourist arrivals.
